Reportedly, Syed Salahuddin, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) chief and United Jihad Council head, took the responsibility for the Pathankot terror attack.
Salahuddin reportedly said that, HM played a significant role in the horrifying attack.
Not stopping there, he even called the attack, “a continuation of their activity, targeting Indian military installations” than a plot to disrupt India-Pakistan talks.
“For the last 26 years, armed Mujahideen are engaged with the 8 lakh Indian forces and each day, Mujahideen are targeting Indian military installations. Pathankot is a continuation of that activity. It has nothing to do with the dialogue process," he said.
Pathankot attack: India-Pakistan dialogue process is fake - HM chief
He further said, Pakistan is a primary party and advocate of the Kashmir issue, and thus rubbished the India-Pakistan dialogue process.
HM chief said, oppressed Kashmiris feelings and aspirations are to be concerned by Pakistan.
“You cannot be an advocate of the murdered and a friend of the murderer simultaneously. India is neither ready to hold talks on the basic issue of Kashmir nor is it ready to accept occupied Kashmir as a party, so this dialogue process is… a waste of time,” he said.
Brushing off that perception in Pakistan that admitting HM's role in Pathankot attacks harms the country, he said, "Morally and as per the international law, we have right to carry out any activity for the independence of our occupied land,"
Warning about the future attacks, HM chief said, “The anti-India sentiment among the population and the passion for jihad among the youth of the state will keep providing strength to it.”
He blamed the India for not having a peace solution for Jammu and Kashmir. The traditional obstinacy… and military arrogance of India… and the double standards of world powers have destroyed the essence of peaceful means. The youth of the state are united in the understanding that there isn’t any solution to the issue, but through a result-oriented armed struggle,” he said.
