It seems, the Congress seniors would appoint any other leader as TPCC head, in the place of Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Congress party, which is the one of the main pillar behind the formation of Telangana, is not able to get identity or to say, it is almost losing its existence in the Telangana state, due to the various reasons.
After the formation of Telangana, for the better development of the Congress party in the state, Uttam Kumar Reddy was appointed as TPCC head, in the place of Ponnala Lakshmaiah. But it seems, the party is even not happy with Uttam, and is considering a better leader than him.
No one can deny the fact that, TRS party strengthened the Telangana movement in the state and Osmania University students and many others have supported the party, in fighting for the separate state.
TRS party was successful in injecting the feeling of Telangana, in the people and that made, TRS voter friendly and rest others as the enemies.
This effect is very severe on Congress party, as it delayed the declaration of the Telangana, even though so many suicides took place in the state, during the movement. That rivalry against Congress was felt in every election held after the 2014 elections. Congress, along with the other parties faced debacle in all such elections.
Especially, in the recent Warangal by-poll, Congress could not even get the deposits. Now, though the Congress had decided to nominate 12 candidates for the upcoming GHMC elections, it could only find 5, in which 2, who were unwilling to contest, withdrew the nomination.
There is a severe scarcity of the right Congress leaders in Karimnagar, Adilabad and Warangal districts. TPCC leaders have no answer, when the seniors asked about the reason behind this situation.
This is worrying the Congress seniors for quite some time and are finding for a right remedy.
A few opined that, Congress leaders are only restricting their portion as an opposition leader, to speak with the media, opposing the government, and not concerned of any other issue.
Currently, the seniors are again going to test their luck in the GHMC elections, if the fate repeats the same debacle, they are considering to change the TPCC leaders.
