If the reports are to be believed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and asked to convince the people, regarding the budget for Amaravathi stone ceremony.
Chandrababu Naidu never compromised for money and he always concentrates on how big and grand the occasion should be conducted. If this is the formula he follows for celebrations, then what range it would be, if he decides to celebrate the historic occasion like Amaravathi stone ceremony? Definitely in never before way, right?
This point was caught by the oppositions are are continuously trying to corner Naidu, that he is spending Rs. 400 crores for one day celebration. Going a step further, YSRCP chief Jagan already wrote a letter that, he is not going to attend the Amaravathi celebrations and not to call him.
He said that, he did not like wasting hundreds of crores of public money for the celebration. In fact, it is not only Jagan, even Congress leaders opposed the Amaravathi ceremony and commented on the budget.
Not 400 crores, only Rs. 10 crores for Amaravathi celebrations- Naidu
It is not new for Naidu or any other Chief Minister to face the opposes like these. But the thing to be considered here is, Naidu, who had a habit of maintaining mum on the comments on budget, this time is able to react openly saying that, Amaravathi celebrations cost is just Rs. 10 crores and not more.
Even TDP officials reacted to the issue and tried to convince the public and the oppositions, about the budget of Amaravathi ceremony. As per the close sources, it was now found out that, Modi’s personal phone call is the reason behind Naidu and other TDP leaders’ explanation about the budget.
Andhra Pradesh state is already said to be in severe financial crisis and is struggling lot, due to the lack of funds. Naidu is still inviting the funds for Amravathi capital construction. At this time, if at all, he still maintains mum on Amaravathi celebrations budget comments of the oppositions, then it might make the people think that those comments are true. .
It further results in severe criticism against Naidu from the public, saying that he is unnecessarily wasting public money for the celebrations, when the state is in crisis and his further efforts to collect funds for the capital city construction might completely fail.
Analyzing the situation in this way, the officials might have come down and started giving explanations on the budget of Amaravathi celebrations.
