A huge number of US lawmakers, who is expecting big from Modi US visit, have lined up to meet him at the Silicon Valley today.
Reportedly, 18500 Indian-Americans are attending the SAP Center reception on September 27th, which also includes former Speaker House of representatives Nancy Pelosi and Ed Royce, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs.
Even a few of the influential Congress men like Ami Bera and George Holding, would be attending the SAP center reception. Ami Bera is the only Indian-American in the current Congress, to represent the silicon valley in the house of representatives.
Eric Swalwell, Jim McDermott, Mike Honda, Loretta Sanchez, Tulsi Gabbard, Sheila Jackson Lee and Pete Sessions are the other lawmakers attending the SAP reception.
Wishes through videos for Modi US visit
Speaking on the occasion, Congressman Eric Swalwell, representing a large Indo- American constituency, in the 15th Congressional District of California, expressed his happiness in welcoming Modi and regarding this, he even released a video.
Gabbard, who has been in the news for his love on Modi, said that, he is glad to welcome Prime Minister Modi. A number of tech entrepreneurs and CEOs will meet Modi and discuss about the possibilities of the development of both the countries, with the mutual support.
Zoe Lofgren, a Congresswoman posted a video, which stated, “India and the Silicon Valley, shared the ideas of innovation and entrepreneurship.” She even expressed her confidence that Narendra Modi’s meeting can help to build stronger, profitable and also everlasting relationship between both the nations.
US-India partnership over the past 20 years, brought a significant development in many areas, and hope it continues for many years in the coming days.
Not just one, but 2 influential Senators joined their Congress counterparts to welcome Modi to the U.S.
It is to be further seen, how far Modi US visit strengthens the partnership between the duo countries and help for the further development.
