A gold smuggler, who hid 3.3 kgs of gold in the shoes, was caught by Shamshabad airport officials, yesterday.
Shamshabad, the place, where a good number of persons, performing the gold smuggling are caught, has yet again another case. But this time, it is bit cinematic.
There are a number of films, which teach the smugglers to perform the smuggling in a better way. May be the passenger over here, got inspired from such films and hid the gold in his shoes, making it powder.
The passenger has come from Dubai and was held by the Customs Officers at the airport. Upon getting doubt after checking the basic luggage, the authorities even checked the shoes of the passenger.
Through the down layer of the shoe, they found out the powder and recognized it as gold. Currently, seizing the gold, the passenger was taken into the custody and the investigation has started.
Even after conducting a strict check at the airport and the strict action is being taking place for smuggling the gold, there are several cases, that are being registered almost every day at the Shamshabad airport.
Gold smuggling involves the crores of rupees exchange every day. So one or two times, getting caught by the officials, might not cause much loss to the smugglers. In fact, this is the reason that is encouraging the smugglers towards continuing the business, in spite of getting caught regularly.
