The Andhra Pradesh government has permitted the liquor shop owners to supply liquor through door delivery too.

Be it due to increasing the sales or withe intention of providing better service to the customer, the AP government came out with an another innovative approach after announcing liquor in tetra packs proposal. According to the new liquor door delivery proposal, the liquor will be delivered directly to the home. Regarding this, the consumer has to send an SMS to the Mandal’s centre, specifying the booking details. The Mandal’s centre will further inform these details to the shop owners, who will then start to the customer’s house on two wheeler, with the customer’s order in hand.

This particular system is already introduced in several villages in Andhra Pradesh and now it spread to the 13 districts in the state.

Shopping malls implement liquor door delivery proposal to the shoppers

As per the newly introduced liquor policy, five shopping malls in Vizag, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry and Kakinada are permitted to sell the liquor to the shoppers too, who in turn sell the liquor in retail. This particular scheme has a higher scope of enhancing the liquor sales across the state, as it would be more flexible to the customers to buy.

However, the AP government is facing the criticisms from the women in the state regarding the new liquor policy, implying it would further destroy the families due to the flexibility in buying.
