Pakistan's military, in rare public criticism has accused India's main intelligence agency of whipping up terrorism in Pakistan. The accusation came after a meeting of the army's top commanders at the military's headquarters in the city of Rawalpindi to review an offensive against militants in the northwest and other security issues. "The conference also took serious note of RAW's involvement in whipping up terrorism in Pakistan," the army said in a statement. Pakistani army officers often privately accuse India of meddling, it is rare for the military to accuse the India's spy agency in an official statement.
Pakistan believes India is supporting separatists in resource-rich Baluchistan province, as well as militants fighting against the state. It also sees India as fuelling strife in the volatile city of Karachi. India denies interference in Pakistan, but accuses Pakistan of supporting militants who launch attacks in India and fight in Indian Kashmir. India has also accused Pakistan of backing the Taliban in Afghanistan. Pakistan denies those accusations.
"It was unanimously felt that India is providing all kinds of support to Pakistan's enemies, be they the (Pakistani) Taliban, or elements in Karachi or in Baluchistan," said an Army official. "There is documentary proof. All evidence is there and we will bring it in the open soon."
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in a television interview aired later that RAW was "an enemy organisation". "RAW has been formed to undo Pakistan and to wipe Pakistan off the map of the world," Asif said.
Pakistan known for its proximity towards terrorists is a haven for them. The Pakistani Army and ISI trains, hosts and support terrorists and use them against India, since Pakistan Army does not have the guts and capability to fight with the India forces. The Army and ISI use terrorists in the proxy war against India. It is laughable for such a rogue state to accuse India in the name of terrorism. On one side Pakistan is waging a proxy war against India using terrorists and on the other side Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accused India of failing to respond to Pakistan's desire for good relations.
Pakistan, which is a country of unrest and the citizens of that country suffering from all kinds of economic disaster, does not care for the citizens, but groom terrorists and cries as a victim to extort financial support from the world over. The dubious attitude of Pakistan has made the country a non-trustworthy nation.
