BJP, Congress fail to submit report

Every political party in the country will claim themselves to be honest and the rest are corrupted. However, it comes to filing a report regarding the expenditure made during the elections, all the political parties give sharpness to their brains and show false figures. Major parties in the country, BJP and Congress stand first in this race.

Making their financial account public, BJP and Congress did not submit their election expenditure to the Election Commission till date. Generally, every party should report their financial aide to the election panel with in 90 days after the completion of Lok Sabha elections and 75 days after the completion of Assembly elections. Its been 150 days, that BJP and Congress did not send any sort of report to EC.

A set of guidelines issued by the EC under Article 324 of the Constitution, August 2014, but as these guidelines have no legal backing, political parties are more interested in talking advantage of it.  The Election Commission can't do much about it rather than just sending reminding letters to the parties.

Transparency in poll funding is a long pending issue and unless the EC makes the guidelines affiliated to law, parties won't come out clean.  And now we talk about black money that is hidden in foreign banks. Why are the so called leaders shy in revealing the details of funds that they got from various persons or organisations.
