The polling is under way for Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections and reports say that, voters are participating in huge numbers. All eyes are on Maharashtra, as all the major parties are contesting individually. BJP ended their 25 year bond with Shiv Sena while Congress split with Nationalist Congress party [NCP] and the main reason is seat sharing. All the parties have their eyes on the chief minister post and so none of the party refused to contest in minimum seats.
BJP is heavily banking on Narendra Modi while Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena [MNS] attacked BJP at every campaign. The predictions are in favor of BJP which might emerge as the single largest party but might fail to the magic figure to form government in the state. We might see new partners post the election results and high chances are of Shiva Sena and MNS. On the other hand, NCP is closing observing the developments and it might become an ally with BJP. Congress party is made alone in Maharashtra but the advantage for the party is it has been in power for the past three terms and is hopeful to continue the momentum.
“Urging the people of Haryana & Maharashtra to go out & cast their votes. Youngsters must show the way & ensure record turnout,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
