EAMCET row: D-Day!

Finally the day has come and all eyes are on the Supreme Court in connection with the EAMCET counselling case. The Apex court will say its judgment today which will decide the future of students of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh who are eagerly awaiting for the counselling. Meanwhile, representatives of  Telangana and AP  are getting ready to make their argument as strong as possible in the court. The APSCHE which is acting in favor of AP government will also  have a word of its argument in the court.

On the other hand, AP deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy has approached Governor Narasimhan over Telangana government appointing separate Council of Higher Education. He claimed that T-government decision is against the Constitution and as per the AP Reorganisation Bill 2013, all the exams will be held jointly and students can study anywhere in both the states. Krishna Murthy requested Governor to intervene in this issue and bring a solution as quickly as possible.

Speaking to the media after meeting Governor, Murthy said, “T-government is making EAMCET issue bigger everyday and students will be the ultimate losers. We also request the T-government to take back the nativity rule in the fees reimbursement scheme.” Governor Narasimhan has assured to take all the possible measures in the case and reportedly said to the Minister that he is trying his best to hold a meeting of Telangana CM and AP CM.

Whatever it is Supreme Court decision is final and will have a bigger impact on both the governments.
