Bharatiya Janata Party has 282 members in the Lok Sabha but 281 MPs fear one man and he is none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is evident with 100 percent presence of the lawmakers during Question Hour of the ongoing Lok Sabha sessions.
The reason behind this is, Modi's warning to all the 281 MPs that strict action would be taken against those who fail to attend the full-time Parliament session and also in maintaining dignity in the Lower House. The strong message was sent during a two-day workshop at Surajkund in Haryana for over 150 first-time Lok Sabha MPs.
One of the senior BJP leader said that Modi is continuing his discipline standards in the Parliament also like how he did in Gujarat Assembly. He also added that in Gujarat Assembly, Modi had 100 MLAs present during the sessions and that is how he ruled the state for 13 years.
Parliament Central Hall is always a happening place where MPs talk with media and pass on confidential information to the media. It was centre of political gossips but slowly the Central Hall is losing its sheen because no BJP MP is talking to media neither they are coming forward. The opposition MPs are also not showing much interest in having a word with media these days.
Overall, Narendra Modi's mark is clearly visible not only in the government but also in the behaviour of MPs.
