The Chief Election Commission of India held a press conference this evening and stated that it is not afraid of any political party. Chief Commissioner Sampath called upon the media in view of allegations against the Election body are growing.

Speaking Commissioner Sampath said, “We are disappointed that questions are being raised over the commission's impartiality, jurisdiction, We are not afraid of any political party or entity in discharging our duty.”

Also EC defended itself by saying that it had banned star campaigners who are popular in delivering hate speeches and such bold decisions are taken even though there was huge uproar from various parties.

Concluding Sampath was hopeful that political parties will coorporate in the last phases of elections.
