An Army Jawan shot 5 of his collegues dead and killed himself. It happened in the Army camp at Ganderbal in Kashmir on Wednesday night while all of his army colleagues were sleeping.
Army Spokesman Lt. Col. NN Joshi revealed that a soldier belonged to Rashtriya Rifles went on a mad shooting in the wee hours before he shot himself. Army court is making inquiry into the incident that took place in the Army camp 13 of Rashtriya Rifles.
As per PTI, the Army soldier entered the barracks at 2.00 am on Thursday and fired indiscriminately on the sleeping colleagues.
Complaints came previously that the Army and Para Military troops deployed at the disturbed areas like Kashmir and other places often go mad due to bad working conditions. They complain of long hours duty and refusal to grant leaves to those posted in those areas.
In addition to the 5 killed by the Army Jawan and killed himself, an Army man is seriously injured in the shootout.
