The talk of Third Front as an alternative to Congress party led UPA and Bharatiya Janata Party led NDA has been in the circulation for long but it is not happening before general elections 2014 as all the leaders weighing it have been telling.

Talking in the State of Odisha the BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said that a Third Front the Orisha chief minister Navin Patnaik talks about is aimed at nothing but saving Congress party in the elections.  He said the Third Front parties only destroyed the states it ruled like SD in Uttar Pradesh, Left parties in West Bengal and Navin Patnaik’s BJD in Odisha.  

Modi complained that the nine parties out of 11 in the Third Front are supporting Congress party.  Comparing with his own administration in Gujarat as its Chief Minister with his counterpart in Odisha Navin Parnaik he said that Gujarat prospered where as Odisha is lagging behind.  

He asked the people of Odisha to vote for BJP so that the state will be developed in such a way that the people who migrated to other states will come back to their home state.  Modi assured that helping the poor to prosper is the top priority of BJP.  

Narendra Modi remembered Navin Patnaik’s father Biju Patnaik he said that he would have become sad to find the state in a sorry state of affairs.  The best tributes one can give, Modi says, is to make Odisha a fully developed State.
