Burning smell and smoke was made one of the passengers in the Hyderabad- Nellore Garuda Bus to avert another Bus fire.  It happened at Chintapalli in Nalgonda district.

The fire broke in the luggage compartment of the bus that has burnt the clothes, sweets and a air pump.  Fire tenders from Devarakonda reached the spot and controlled fire.  Devarakonda RTC DM inspected the bus.  The bus was taken to Chintapalli Police Station.

As the SI Dhanunjay was not available at that time, the reason for the fire was explained to the policemen available in the police station.

The reason as determined was the sparks from the open bulb holder in the luggage compartment that ignited the clothes of the passengers kept there that made the burning smell reach the passengers in the bus.

As the fire accident of the Private Volvo bus is fresh in the minds of the passengers, the smell has immediately alarmed the passengers to alert the driver.  All passengers are safe.
