Illuminated Charminar on State Formation Day

The Charminar of Hyderabad was illuminated last night on the occasion of the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day.

Charminar built in 1591 in Islamic architecture is an icon of Hyderabad like Taj Mahal to Agra.  It silently witnessed many political changes in the State and patiently waiting to see further changes in the wake of Telangana and Samaikyandhra agitations.

The illumination of Charminar and grand celebrations of State formation day were held in the State in spite of the opposition by the Telangana supporters calling it a day of conspiracy against Telangana.
