The Police Martyrs’ Day is held at Hyderabad Goshamahal Police Stadium.  The Chief Minsiter Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke on the occasion in which he wished that the AP Police should stand first in the Country.  He paid homage to the policemen who lost their lives while discharging their duties.  He warned the police department that the society watching the police closely and it is the responsibility of the police with caution and alertness.  He also said that 28000 constables were recruited during the last three years to cope up with the changing situation in the State.  He assured that all the facilities the police are entitled will be ensured through the recommendations of the DGP.

Reports received from Khammam, Nizamabad, Palamur, Adilabad and Nalgonda that the police martyrs’ day is observed.  

Police higher officer rallied at Palamur in Mahaboobnagar district and they garlanded the statue of Paradesi Naidu, who died while discharging his duties as an SP.   Later gun salute was given to the martyrs.

At Nalgonda Police officers and policemen rallied holding the photos of the martyrs. The District Collector Chiranjeevulu and SP Prabhakar paid tributes at the pylon of the martyrs. Later school children also paid homage to them.

Tributes were paid to the martyrs at Khammam Parade Grounds.  District Collector Naresh and SP Ranganadh attended the event.  They paid homage to the policemen who died while discharging their duties.  Collector talked to the family members of the martyrs and inquired about their problems.
