First meeting of the Group of Ministers to discuss the implications of the bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh to carve out Telangana from it is over.
The meeting started at the office of the Home Minister at 11.00 am today that hardly lasted for 45 minutes. The meeting was presided by the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. They have discussed on the approach and policies to be followed that are basically needed in a process of bifurcating a State as stated by Gulam Nabi Azad after the meeting is over.
The meeting was attended by Sushil Kumar Shinde, Gulam Nabi Azad, Narayana Swamy, Veerappa Moily and Jayaram Ramesh out of seven members of the GoM. Out of the remaining two, Chidambaram is on foreign tour and A.K.Antony is not well.
It is only revealed that the GoM talked about the peripheral points of the program of bifurcation of the State of AP. GoM will meet next on 19th of this month.
