Commando Operation At Puttur Completed

Police higher officials stated that the commando operation is complete at Puttur. The apprehended terrorists are recognized as Bilal and Munna.  

The commando operation that went on for 11 hours is at last concluded.  A terrorist who was wounded in the operation was taken to the hospital.  Octopus police took another terrorist to Chennai.  

The terrorists were hiding in a house in Puttur in Chittore district for the last 6 months.  They told the owner of the house in which they were living that they are selling old clothes and chickens for their livelihood.  

SP Kranthi Rana told the media in the morning that they are trying to catch the terrorists alive.  As per the lead police got that the terrorists were hiding in Puttur, they surrounded the place and started searching in which they found a gun and two bombs.  The terrorists attacked police with knives and stones when the police were combing the place.  In that incident a CI and a constable were wounded.  They were rushed to the hospital where CI succumbed to the wounds.  

About 60 policemen surrounded the house in which the terrorists were hiding and started the operation from midnight on Friday. Expecting ISI terrorists SIB officers also reached Puttur.  Then Octopus police also reached the place to intensify the operation.  The local police and Chennai police jointly conducted the operation.   

The locals are shocked to know that they had been living with terrorists in their neighborhood for 6 months.

Additional DGP Kaumudi told that total 6 persons were apprehended in the commando operation out of whom three are minors. He said that it will only be confirmed after investigation whether they aimed to resort to a terrorist activity at Tirumala.
