Yes, I am For Samaikya- Counters Kiran Kumar To Digvijay

Kiran Kumar Admits that he is a Samaikya Supporter and every time Digvijay mentions it, he is reminded of it and his feeling of responsibility heightens.  Samaikya means united and as a Chief Minister of the present united State of Andhra Pradesh, he says, he is concerned about the State including Telangana region.

Kiran Kumar said that Digvijay Singh is AICC Chief Secretary now but no position is permanent and people come and go.  But, he says, people are permanent.

Kiran Kumar made it clear that he knows that he has no future without Congress Party.  He cannot expect the position as Chief Minister he is holding in the State at present, if any other party emerges.  He has full respect towards the high command of the party but, he emphasizes that the people’s hardships are above all these.

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed his concern over 60 days of Samaikyandhra Movement that is totally ignored by the Congress Party.

He has not agreed Digvijay Singh’s remarks that the Congress Party cannot take its words back.  Then, Kiran Kumar questions, what about the promises made by Pandit Nehru and Indira Gandhi?  Don’t they hold any strength?  Can the party go back from those promises made by them in those times?

He said that the heavy projects have come only because of the united state.  He expressed his fears that disputes will certainly erupt because of the water resources if adequate rain fall will not be there in any season.

Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the people are suffering a lot because of the Samaikyandhra agitation.  Buses, hospitals, offices, educational institutions, trading and business houses are not working and the state is sustaining heavy losses in the 60 days agitation.   He urged the employees to call off strike and join duties and at the same time demanded high command that it should consider the demands of the Seemandhra people.
