Tough Time To Tirumala Pilgrims

The temple hill of Tirumala witnesses heavy pilgrimage on Saturday and Sundays other holidays.  Although the number of pilgrims came down in the light of Samaikyandhra Movement, still because of the train facilities and special arrangements made by TTD, devotees are venturing to visit the famous temple of Tirumala Venkateswara as many believe that the deity is current ruler- Kaliyuga Daivam and all the prayers of the devotees are heard by him and taken care of their problems.

But the bus arrangement between Tirupati and Tirumal hills is as low as 100 services which is meager compared to the thronging pilgrims on holidays and weekends.

As the Government and TTD arrangements are not meeting the demand, devotees are waiting since morning queuing up for the transport or looking for alternative private vehicles who are taking advantage of the situation and charging exaggerated amounts.  Thousand of the pilgrims are still waiting at Tirumala for the arrangements for their return journey.
