Rare Sight at Tirumala

Tirumala the abode of Lord Venkateswara had rare site yesterday.  Tirumala the pilgrim place that is visited by not less than 60000 on any day had a deserted look yesterday due to the strike call given by Samaikyandhra.  With the buses stopped plying between Tirupati and Tirumala 3000 services were cancelled.  The work force of TTD also went on strike in support of the Samaikyandhra movement. It made things more difficult for the visiting devotees.

Tirumala temple and other buildings could be seen yesterday, the sight of which is normally missed by the visitors because of the crowding piligrims.  Whoever has visited Tirumala yesterday could see total infrastructures and well maintained parks and gardens with flowering plants to their satisfaction.  But, unfortunately they could not make the best of it as the worry to reach home in that situation made them concentrate more on the arrangements for their return journey than enjoying the environment.  Although they had a leisurely darshan of the Lord, their minds were worriedly preoccupied about the journey back home.

Devotees who already reached Tirupati engaged private vehicles paying much more than ordinary fare on the normal day.  Some who could took the trekking way to have a darshan of Balaji.

Official records show that the number of visitors was so low that was not recorded for the last 35 years.
