Egypt President Mohamed Morsy was removed by the Army Commander General Abdel Fatta al Sisi.
Last night The Egypt Army suspended the constitution and appointed the Constitutional Court's Chief Judge as in charge of the State.
Although Morsy was elected in a democratic election process one year ago, there were allegations on him that he was engaged in the activities that were against the interests of the public at large. The Army gave him a notice of 48 hours to step down but as the President did not follow it, the Army declared Wednesday late night that he is removed with immediate effect.
In the turmoil after the Army gave notice to Morsy, a clash between the groups in favor of him and against, 23 people died and over 200 were wounded.
The Army Commander announced Morsy’s ouster last night on TV Network and promised early elections. The moment the ouster was announced fireworks were used in celebration at Tahrir Square in Cairo. Additional Military Troops were deployed at Cairo and other cities to control the situation.
The ousted President Morsy was kept at a place which is kept as a secret.
It is only one year since the democratically elected President Morsy came to rule in Egypt. But he faced opposition complaining that he was only interested in power but not the welfare of the people of Egypt.
Some critics say that Egypt may again go to Military rule after it was fought against and democracy was established.
