VV Lakshmi Narayana who is popularly known as JD Lakshmi Narayana in AP as he became popular as JD (Joint Director) of CBI the central investigating agency is going to be relieved from his post on 7th June to join Mumbai Crime Branch.

Lakshmi Narayana IPS previously worked in the State as Superintendant of Police at Nanded after which he joined in Anti Terrorism Squad in Maharashtra.   He was promoted as DIG at Hyderabad on 12th June 2006 posting in CBI for a period of 5 years.  But his services were extended to two more years.  As 7 years is the maximum time one can work at as IPS, he may be relieved by 7th June as per the informed received from reliable source to take charge in Mumbai Crime Branch.  Now he is in IG rank.

He became very popular in Andhra Pradesh for dealing his big first Satyam Scandal case as DIG.  Then he successfully handled mining mafia of Gali Janardan Reddy and diappropriate assets case of YS Jagan.
