Fishing in Vishakapatnam waters come to cease from today. The state government has passed a government order banning fishing in Bay of Bengal for a period of 47 days starting from today. This decision as this is the right season for reproduction of fish. The fishermen, who apparently thought there would be some relaxation of date or something of that sort, had to halt their fishing boats the moment officials implemented the orders without fail.
What will happen to fishermen?
For about two months if fishermen don't venture out into the sea then it would be real tough for them to earn their daily bread and butter. Over the same, the government has taken steps for giving 31 kilograms of rice to each fisherman family. Meanwhile, the fishermen community expressed their displeasure for not giving any financial aid.
