Guntur-the city that's known for its pride and red hot chilli has entered the news for some good reasons yet another time. In terms of purchasing and selling products online, Guntur is standing in number one. We are not saying this but eBay, the popular online stores, mentioned it in their 2012 report regarding the transactions that took place on eBay.

Salient features of eBay report:
•    Maximum number of transactions took place from the states Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu
•    Guntur is number one city in the country in terms of online purchase
•    In Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada stood after Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam and Ongole

eBay census has also highlighted that the main share in the online business was taken away by e-ticketing including bus, train and even cinema theatre reservations. It's a good sign that Guntur stood first in terms of online transactions.
