All spotlights suddenly turned on to the son in law of the late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Brother Anil in the case of the mysterious death of Veerabhadra Reddy, who happens to be the general manager of Benetta Iron Ore Company.
Veerabhadra Reddy is a man who owns hundreds of crores and is also the benami for Kondala Reddy, the owner of the Benetta Iron Ores. This money aspect of the story has been drawing a lot of skepticism and attention to the case. The alleged simple suicide could have been a cold blooded murder, is what the police are trying to find out.
It is known that the manager died after he tried to kill himself on the 25th of February this year at Pochampadu under Jaggayyapet mandal. Being the Benami for Kondala Rao, he had many properties in his name.
The twist comes where Br Anil, who is married to Sharmila, is linked to Kondala Rao closely. On the day of his death, allegedly, the police have found a suicide note which they have not shown the police but the YSRC activists have reportedly gotten their hands onto it. In a press conference, the YSRC members made several copies of the same said suicide note and spread it in the conference at Jaggayyapet.
In the note, which appears to be a letter rather, shows Veerabhadra Reddy begging for help. He mentioned that the 42 acre land in his name assigned by Kondala Reddy given back to him after the loan, impending, is cleared. Mentioning no one in particular Veerabhadra Reddy urged that his wife, children and parents be taken care of. He requested that he should be saved.
The most apalling part of the letter is that he was asking to be saved himself. Which suicide note will ask protection for himself? Who is threatening Veerabhadra Reddy? Was it a real suicide note or fabricated one? Or was it a letter he wrote long before he took the extreme step? There are no answers yet.
There are several investigations trying to find the links between the deceased and Kondala Rao. They are also looking into the aspect of Brother Anil Kumar being linked with the activities.
Why is Br Anil Kumar a suspect? House No. 203, Aditya Elite, B S Makta, Somajiguda, Hyderabad is the address in the Benetta Iron Ore company registration and mysteriously this is the same property that is mentioned as a registration address with Rakshana Steels and Bayyaram mines which have brought Br Anil Kumar to spotlight several times before.
This has brought the police thinking that there could have been a deeper link connecting Br Anil to the mystery. However, YSRC is adamantly defending Brother Anil Kumar not being even remotely connected with Rakshana Steels and Bayyaram Mines. Anil has already warned the TDP not to associate him with baseless allegations. YSRC has gone another step further saying that Anil Kumar is not linked to Veerabhadra Reddy or even Kondal Rao too dismission the death as a simple suicide.
