V-Day Blues! Couples ensured security?

Come Valentine's Day, people in love rejoice, loaf around and celebrate the with much pomp. For some that day could be as special as possible and for some, it could just be like a right golden chance to cross the boundaries set by parents. Colourful girls, handsome hunks, gifts, balloons, illuminate streets and there would be many words to describe the day the best. But, there's also something that could make couple think twice before they zoom in and zoom out on roads—it's moral police!

Yes, a few activists, who are opposed to Valentine's Day are solemnizing the wedding of couples on February 14 who are found loafing around or spending time in parks. If we put whether V-Day is boon or bane aside, forcing people to marry on roads could have disastrous effects as it could literally damage the future of such couple's families and could even result in another pending divorce case.

Keeping all these things in view, there are many people who have been appealing to moral police not to conduct marriages on roads only because they were caught on Valentine's Day. An advocate from Hyderabad seems to be in the same category. He approached the state human rights commission against forceful solemnization of marriages of couples on roads by some activists (moral police) on Valentine's Day. The commission, which accepted the petition has ordered Hyderabad police commissioner to ensure that it gives protection to couples on Valentine's Day. Anyway, let us hope that there would no more be forceful marriage news on February 15th newspapers.
