Sri Lanka president Mahenda Rajapakse is going to visit Tirumala today. He, along with his family members and other members, is going to arrive at Tirupati airport in a chartered flight this morning. Meanwhile, a large number of Tamils in Tirupati havee said that they are going to obstruct the tour of Mahenda Rajapakse. They have pasted bills to the walls stating the same. In the wake of these warnings, tight security has been beefed up in Tirupati to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

CrPc Section 144 too has been imposed in Tirumala. It has to be mentioned here that Tamils are apparently against Sri Lanka president Mahenda Rajapakse for allegedly taking action against illegal Tamil residents in Sri Lanka. The recent LTTE war, which killed its leader could also be one of the reasons for the same, opined observers. Anyway, let us wish that no untoward incident takes place at a place, which has been a destination to scores of pilgrims.
