With deadline to applying for Aadhaar card for subsidized gas cylinders coming to an end in another 10 days, people in the state are thronging many centres where Aadhaar card enrollments are going on. In Hayathnagar area of Rangareddy district, people bee lined at the enrollment centre. They even expressed their ire alleging that the officials were not responding properly.

The irked people, further, staged a massive protest on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway that resulted in heavy traffic jam. The police officials had to plunge into action and clear the highway. The situation is more or less the same in other parts of the city such as Uppal and Patancheru. Observers were opinion that government should extend the deadline for subsidized gas without Aadhaar cards.
