Viswaroopam row takes a different turn every minute. Just moments after the meeting of Dr Kamal Haasan, the Madras High court had again upheld the ban urged by the state government. The court today over-ruled the decision by a judge last night to revoke the two-week ban on Vishwaroopam.
In spite of being certain that the film was not controversial, the actor even accepted to cut the controversial scenes. Yet the issue remains unsolved. Petrol bombs were hurled by miscreants at two theaters in the state which were supposed to screen the film. This led to further fear of the theater owners association who had first objected to screen the film due to a DTH controversy.
The cuts accepted by the actor only shows the financial vulnerability of a producer who is left at the mercy of the government after making a mammoth project.
The controversy also brought in the superstar Rajinikanth who openly supported his long time associate Kamal. Renowned filmmaker Bharathiraja also voiced his concern over the controversy while staying on the actor's side. He commented unity among the technicians of the filmdom as this could happen to anyone. As of now the film is banned in Tamil Nadu... (Wishesh AarKay)
