Political mileage in resuming padayatra?

The sibling of YSR Congress Party head Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to resume her massive walkathon abandoned by her on December 18.

Sharmila, within few days of starting off on her 'Maro Praja Prasthanam' due to a knee injury had called off the walk, to take medical care. While boarding a bus during the walkathon she fell and hurt her knee. There was ligament tear in her right leg.

She later underwent a surgery and taken up physiotherapy treatment. Today (January 26), the leader received a green signal from the doctors about her ability to trek across 3000 kms as planned.

As of now Sharmila had barely covered 822 km across Rayalaseema and parts of Telangana. Officially the siblings are to announce about a possible restart in February.

As usual there are many critics who are reading between the lines on the latest development and would like to check if there is some link as the T brew is burning hot.

During the break there were many speculations that shrouded over her injury. The speculation gained prominence after a photo went viral when she visited her  brother in Chanchalguda prison.

It showed Sharmila being taken in a wheel chair with a left leg injury but on her return she had  crutches on her right side with her right foot lifted to avoid contact with the floor.

And as per the controversies the few prominent ones that were doing the rounds were that there was a difference between the brother and sister over some issue. The second one suggests that the leader wanted to be free around Christmas and the third one being mounting expenses that YSRCP was unable to make to bring in huge crowds enroute to make the event successful.

However proving all critics wrong, the leader is to resume her walk and complete the same. She is confident that the roaring applause received by her across her walkathon, would definitely influence the party at the electoral. (Wishesh AarKay)
