Mumbai slum fire killed at least 6...

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. On Friday in the Nayanagar slums in Mahim and quickly spread, catching the occupants unaware in their sleep resulting in killing at least six people and seven injured when fire that climbed over 50 hutments.

Moreover, it's that seven fire engines and eight tankers rushed to combat the blaze and finally managed to control it after four hours. It seems that the city fire brigade did a commendable job and prevented higher casualties because the slum is a thickly populated and there was a possibility of the casualty figures going up.

As quiet obviously, Hundreds of families suddenly rendered homeless sat on the roadside, crying helplessly.

To say more, Congress MP, Mr. Gaekwad and other social workers have assured relief to the displaced families.

It was really a shock for those innocent!
