The Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu is undeterred and continues on his massive walkathon, 'Vastunna Meekosam.' for the fifth day in Krishna District. He has been receiving tumultuous welcome from large crowds which is called as the home district of the party. The abnormal gatherings at each of his meeting must be instilling fears in his contemporaries. His visit has brought back the lost sheen, on the party cadre.
However there seems to be just one reason for the cadre to worry and that is the severe feet ache which the leader is silently suffering within his close quarters. In spite of repeated requests made by the party's politburo, the leader proposes to move on, unhindered. He is no mood to quit, say close associates.
He simply brushes aside their demands to stop the walkathon, by saying that 'people are suffering more and his pain is negligible.' Mr Babu seems to be throwing his mystique appeal on the crowds which should surely have an impact at the electorate in 2014.
However one incident needs to be remembered out here is that the veteran in spite of ill health is uncompromising on his commitment.
Whereas a similar walkathon by a younger leader, Sharmila of YSR Congress party, Maro Prasthanam' was abandoned due to an ailing leg and the action has raked in numerous controversies. (Wishesh AarKay)
