Noted Marxist leader Parakala Pattabhi Ramarao passses away in Vijayawada today (January 23). The leader who was also a renowned freedom fighter and an ardent writer, is no more. The veteran was ailing for sometime and had a natural death in the early hours of the day. The left parties expressed condolence on his death.

In 2010 the writer had unveiled his book, 'ABOUT MAN AND GOD.' This book, as  per a reliable media source, 'was an attempt to delve deep into the age-old question raised by legendary Telugu poet Gurajada Apparao: "Manushulu chesina devullara! Mee peru emiti?" (`Gods created by mankind, what are your names?').'

Parakala Pattabhi Ramarao was a visionary and had been instrumental in designing the fundamentals of the Marxists clout of the left. He was also a senior journalist.
