MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi has surrendered himself before Sangareddy court today in connection with the alleged derogatory remarks he made against a few officials in Medak district a couple of years ago. Notably, his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi (an MLA) is also reportedly one of the co accused in the case and he was recently produced before the court by the police after he was brought from Adilabad district on prisoner on transit warrant.

It may be recalled that Akbaruddin Owaisi was recently arrested in connection with alleged hate speech and he's currently under judicial custody. The row of cases against the two main leaders of MIM is likely to show impact on his party and give scope for his opponeny Zahid Ali Khan to look forward to victory, opined political analysts.
