The meeting among Seemandhra leaders for discussing bifurcation issue concluded in Hyderabad this afternoon. What our sources said turned out to be true. There was a difference of opinion among leaders over resignation. Some leaders, who are spearheading Seemandhra demand, are in support of resignation while many loyalists of Congress party were not welcoming the idea. They reportedly reminded the moral commitment that they should respect the high command and abide by what Sonia Gandhi said. Resigning to the party only reflects the opportunism in a leader, said many analysts too.
Since the meeting, which was only aimed at bringing consensus on resignations, didn't turn fruitful, a group of leaders said that they would be visiting Delhi on January 21 and on returning from the national capital region, a decision on resignations would be made. If buzz is to believed, Centre is all set to make a clear cut statement on Telangana issue on January 28.
