FB privacy notice goes viral

Not just photos and sleazy videos go viral on Internet but some of the messages. Once people especially on the social networking websites get to know that they need to just copy paste certain lines to be on a safe land of privacy, they do it without a second thought given that it's just one click away. This parampara seems to have started on social networking major, Facebook.

Since a couple of weeks, a message, which states that anyone who uses their profile information (including photos and stuff on the profile) need their prior permission and stresses that the information was private and that copyright is attached to the same, has been doing rounds on FB.

Andhra Wishesh got in touch with some legal experts to quickly trace out whether this message will hold any value. They said that when someone opens an account, he/she agrees to the privacy policy and the same applies to Facebook too. They further said such  user cannot alter the agreement with a mere post.  Above all, what terms and conditions were there (when a person clicked on privacy policy/agreement) would be applicable unless Facebook notifies its users about the change in the privacy policy.
