Manchu Vishnu today filed a private complaint against 16 persons who allegedly performed last rites' rituals on his father Mohanbabu. When Vishnu approached Nampally Court to file the complaint, a large number of alleged Brahmin associations raised slogans against him and staged protest outside the court. Vishnu, after he filed the complaint, spoke to the media and confirmed that he filed complaint against 16 persons.
As Vishnu tried to move out of court in his car, the association members tried to block the car, which led to a heavy traffic jam. The police immediately plunged into the action and cleared the public. It may be noted that Denikaina Ready, which was released last month, triggered a new controversy as few Brahmin associations raised objections against the movie and alleged that the content of the movie was derogatory to them. A series of protests followed by last rites' rituals took place, which presumably disturbed Mohanbabu family.
