Chiranjeevi assumes office as MoS

Congress MP Chiranjeevi has taken up the charge as the Minister of State (independent charge) for tourism today in Delhi. Chiranjeevi's first signature on the file as the central minister was on releasing funds for Kakatiya celebrations. Chiranjeevi released Rs. 25 lakhs for the same.

Chiranjeevi has said that he would boost the Indian Tourism further. Also, he said he would take up certain steps to attract the foreign tourists. The observers said that now that Chiranjeevi, a person with a special image in the public and also a celebrity, became tourism minister, there would be no need for the government to look out for brand ambassadors.

In Andhra Pradesh, celebrations touched peak on the eve of Chiru taking up the charge as the minister of state. Followers and fans of megastar have burst the crackers to express their happiness.
