The whole metro is spruced up to welcome the 8000 + representatives from the 194 countries  for the  Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) (October 01-19). most of the flyovers are decked with cultural paintings. India is an apt capital for the summit and more predominantly Hyderabad. As our nation is the prestigious global example for 'Unity in Diversity' and our city is the classic example of this harmony. Similarly a harmony with the bio-Diversity is also top of the agenda. To preserve nature and save the planet from Eco balance, because this has an imminent effect on human life.

CBD event is held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) and will be inaugurated by Environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan. During the October 8 and 19, a Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 11)  is to be held and that brings many global heads in to the city. Our  own Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will host that meet. This would be the largest ever international conference to be hosted by India. This conference along with the 6th meeting of the Conference of the parties serving as the meeting of the parties to Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (Cop Mop 6).
