The Hyderabad police commissioner Anurag Sharma has said that elaborate arrangements have been made for immersion of Ganesh statues, which would take place on September 29. He has also requested the people who come to immerse statues to complete the immersion as soon as possible. Explaining about number of statues that would be immersed, Anurag Sharma has said that at least four thousand statues would be immersed in the Hussain Sagar and for the same as many as 19 cranes were set up on the Tank Bund. Talking about Telangana march on Tank Bund, he said the permission was not given for march in the wake of Ganesh immersion. Also, he said their prime motive was to ensure that no one would be at inconvenience. He even mentioned that he asked JAC leaders to postpone their proposed march.
