The senior Congress Leader V Hanumatha Rao was caught unawares over his verdict on the incarcerated YSR Congress supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is quoted to have said that if the investigating agency manhandled the leader then all beans would spill out about his alleged accusations. Most senior critics felt that such statements of venom were made by the frustrated and as a senior leader such should have been avoided. The above proverb of life came to my mind as soon as I read the statement of the senior leaders. Because by giving such statements the leader was belittling the chances of the party in the eyes of the people.
The dialogue of the chief had two implications that he needed to clarify. By advising the investigating agency of adverse steps was he doubting the agency's modus operandi. And secondly there is a wide speculations rife that in the Jagan disproportionate assets case many top leaders from State to center were involved. Did he mean same fate to one and all involved, or exclusively to this young leader. And if he suggested the former option does he realize whom he is accounting for.........
