Separate Andhra Joint Action Committee (JAC) president, Sunkara Krishnamurthy has stressed that the state would be trifurcated in another 15 days. Addressing the media at Vijayawada today, he has said that the Andhra Joint Action Committee urged the Centre to divide the state into three - Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema respectively. He has also said that the committee asked the Centre to make the capital of Andhra between Vijayawada-Guntur. Also, he said the JAC urged the government to allot one lakh crore rupees for a metro rail projects in Vijayawada, Tirupati and Vishakapatnam respectively.

The political observers felt since TDP too, the main opposition in the state-agreed for carving out Telangana state, the Centre is apparently in plan to go ahead with the issue. In fact, one of the TDP leaders is also strongly pitching his voice in support of Rayalaseema state, added observers. So, they said the Centre might trifucate the state soon.

On the other hand, the sources said it would be beneficial for Congress politically in case it trifurcates the state. Since, Chiranjeevi is the only person who can put a check to Jaganmohan Reddy in Andhra region, Congress will have all scope to make a clean sweep in Andhra state with Chiru as the chief minister, said sources. They even said that Congress would get good points from people in Telangana region since it divided the state and therefore would have bright chances of coming to power in Telangana region, added sources. And in Rayalaseema there would be fairly moderate chances for Congress to come to power and in case it can't come to power in Rayalaseema, it can still enjoy power in Andhra and Telangana regions provided that it should make Chiranjeevi the chief minister, said sources. Anyway, one has to wait and watch as to what developments would take place in the state in the wake of these statements by Andhra Joint Action Committee.
