Sorry Teacher draws criticism much before release

A large number of PDSU activists have today staged dharna in Hyderabad demanding the ban on upcoming Telugu B grade film Sorry Teacher. The association president Sandhya has alleged that the relation between a student and a teacher was portrayed in an indecent manner.  She has also said that this film apparently can degrade the human relations and values. She even mentioned that this film might have negative impact on teenage children.

It may be noted that Sorry Teacher was scheduled for a release this Friday. The release was however postponed as a woman teacher of a government school in Hyderabad approached High Court directing the court to set aside the release of the film since the posters of Sorry Teacher contained obscenity and violated the Cinematography Act, 1952. The court, however, said a decision will be taken only after the movie is watched and directed the CBFC to produce a CD before the court on Monday.
