Andhra Pradesh girl studying in the IIT Chennai was found hanging in her room on Tuesday. The girl who was identified as Nerugu Manasa (23) was a resident of a three bedroom hostel with in the campus. She is supposed to be hailing from the Karimnagar District of the state. The girl was pursuing her M Tech in the college and was married to Srinivasa Manisala. As per the police, the girl preferred to stay back after lunch and locked down the entire Sarayu Hostel Extension Annexure Building to commit suicide around 2 pm.
It was a carpenter who came to work in the hostel reported her death. Police have taken her mobile and her laptop for investigations. No suicide notes were found in the room. The authorities have informed her father Nerugu Rajesh Sham and her husband over her death. The body was found hanging from the fan in the room. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
