The Director General of Police (DGP) Dinesh Reddy has arrived at Srisailam in the early hours on Friday to perform special rituals at Sri Bramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy. The DGP was welcomed by DIG Anil Kumar and SP Chandrashekara Reddy at Nandiniketan Guest House on the hillock. It may be noted that DGP was scheduled to take part in Mahamangala Harathi at the sanctum.

It may be mentioned here that today is Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the day (according to Hindu calendar) Lord Sri Krishna, one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu was born.
