Herbal medicine became poison

Herbal medicine claimed two lives in Hyderabad. The incident came to light on Wednesday. Two daily wage labourers, who wanted a relief from joint pains, presumably got tatkal passes to hell after they allegedly consumed herbal medicine. Aged 30 and 32, Sagar and Narsaiah resided in Uppal of Hyderabad. They came down from nearby towns and settled in the area to earn bread and butter. The duo used to earn some money on day-to-day basis by taking part in construction works and other daily wage works.

Sagar and Narsaiah soon developed body pains due to heaps of physical work. Since they couldn't afford the costly pain relievers available in the market, the duo chose herbal medicine, which was brought by Sagar from his native town in Mahabubnagar district. On Monday morning, they took this herbal poison, which was reportedly sold to Sagar as medicine. After a couple of hours, the duo started puking repeatedly. Narsaiah was admitted to Gandhi hospital on Monday itself and he died on the same day while Sagar was shifted to Gandhi hospital on Tuesday and doctors declared him brought dead.

A case under IPC Section 304 (2) has been booked against the culprits who sold medicine to Sagar. The search is on to nab the fake medicine sellers.
