The High Court just a little time ago dismissed the bail plea of the incarcerated YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. This means that the leader will no way be out for campaigning for the by-polls. Another setback for the Kadapa MP was CBI granted his custody. The High Court had granted the custody of the 39-years-old leader in the disproportionate assets case. As per the orders CBI can question the leader for five days from June 3-7. The other conditions are the leader must be questioned from 10am-5pm only in the presence of two advocates in the CBI office during the five days.
Earlier CBI argued that the bail to the MP would only aid in tampering the evidence and hence requested the apex court not to issue the bail. Later the CBI also said that the arrest has been carried after thorough investigations, owing to the high profile nature of the case. They also informed that the Kadapa MP was in their list of the MPs who were wanted in various discrepancies nationwide.
For refreshing the readers’ memories the special CBI court in Nampally on Friday dismissed the bail plea of the incarcerated leader. There was no respite for the leader even from the apex court. (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
