Security tightened around CBI HQ in Hyderabad

Security has been tightened around the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Koti, Hyderabad. Officially this is just a precautionary measure, in case the CBI gains custody of the incarcerated YSR Congress Leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case. The case is pending at the High court, today.

Initially CBI objected the release of the Kadapa MP after he had applied for bail, stating that tampering of evidences could be possible.   In accordance the court dismissed the bail plea of the leader. In another appeal the CBI had urged the custody of the 39-year-old leader to investigate further on the issue. The court is to pass the judgment on Saturday.

Meanwhile the council for the leader had moved the bail petition in the High Court.  The announcements in both the issues are yet to be made. However it may be noted that on Monday in a similar situation, security was tightened around the Chenchalguda Central Prison from the afternoon and Jagan was remanded to judicial custody till June11. Later in the evening the leader was accommodated at the prison, where he still is detained. (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
